Osman Shah
Osman is a recent Political Science and Psychology graduate from Canada who joined Mthente for May, June, and July 2009. He will be working on several research projects in coordination with Mthente’s staff members.
Osman completed his Bachelors of Arts
& Science in 2009 from the University of Lethbridge with majors in
Political Science and Psychology. In addition to being a student
representative on the university’s general assembly, Osman was an
active researcher and worked closely with professors in both his
fields. In doing so, he had the opportunity to plan and execute two
independent studies at the Canadian Center for Behavioural Neuroscience
(CCBN) on the topic of hippocampul memory systems and an independent
study with the Department of Political Science on the control variables
exercised in post-colonial Pakistan.In addition, Osman has experience working for the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. For the future, Osman plans to pursue his interests in the South Asian region while earning his graduate degrees.
