Huber S. Bongolan Jr.
Huber’s primary area of specialisation is economics, with a separate focus in international studies. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in both Business Economics and International Studies at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Both degrees were obtained with high honors. He will be working at Mthente as an intern for March and April 2011.
Prior to joining Mthente, Huber was an
Administrative Assistant for State Farm Insurance from 2009 to 2011.
His agency was located in southern California and dealt mainly with
commercial and personal lines of insurance including Business,
Workman’s Compensation, Auto, Homeowners etc. He coordinated with the
agent and manager to strengthen customer relations through efficient
insurance services. His responsibilities involved managing both
commercial and personal accounts. He interacted with policyholders on a
daily basis, helping them update and understand their various insurance
lines as well as marketing to new business.
Before State Farm, Huber interned as a Project Developer for Axio Power. Axio is a renewable energy supplier who focused on finding and developing solar energy fields in America’s central States. Huber’s responsibility for Axio included assisting Senior Developers in finding potential land plots were the firm could place and develop solar panel fields.
Huber maintains an active role in the Boy Scouts of America. After earning the rank of Eagle Scout in 2003, he continues to support the troop by mentoring younger scouts and attending various developmental events. He is a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster and continues his service to the community as well as mentorship.
