Administrator

Lynn qualified as a secretary in 1996. She has since used her strong administrative skills in both the NGO and corporate sectors. She is currently doing financial administration for Mthente and is enrolled in an Office Administration course at Rosebank College.

Before joining the Mthente team, Lynn worked as administrator for Africa Unite. Some of her many responsibilities were liasing with government departments, lobbying potential funders, writing proposals and organising special events.

In 2007, Lynn participated in several development training workshops, including a Train the Trainer Human Trafficking Workshop with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and a Train the Trainer Human Rights Workshop with Africa Unite.

Prior to working with Africa Unite, Lynn worked for PEPCLO, where she monitored the time and attendance, as well as weekly wages of 1000+ workers. She has also worked as an English tutor, and as an administrator for Excelsior Empowerment Centre.

Lynn brings to Mthente her wealth of organisational and time management experience, as well as a warm, people-centered approach. In her spare time, she is very involved in her community, singing in a choir and writing proposals for NGOs.
