Pearl has worked extensively in the field of Human Resources Management and Change Management. She worked for South African Airways for a number of years before starting her own Human Resources and Management Consultancy, which she ran for approximately 5 years. She frequently assists Mthente with workshop facilitation and fieldwork.

pearl motolwana, bss hons (university of natal).jpgDuring this period, she worked extensively with some of the biggest names in the South African economy, rendering a cross section of HR, Change Management and Management Consulting services. Some of her clients included South African Airways, Engen, Parliament (a project she undertook in collaboration with PriceWaterhouseCooper) Amatola Water Board, Old Mutual, The Board for Sheriffs, and Cape Town Routes Unlimited.

Pearl completed her undergraduate degree in Social Sciences majoring in Psychology and Legal Studies at the University of Natal (Durban), and whilst working for South African Airways completed her honours in Human Resources Management at RAU. She is a certified Business and Executive Coach through the International Coaching Federation, and also completed a coaching diploma through the ICF in 2008. She is currently preparing herself to write her G-Mat exams through UCT for entry into their MBA programme in 2009.

Pearl sits on the Board of Abigail Women’s Movement, a non profit organisation in Khayelitsha that looks after the old and frail as well as orphaned and vulnerable children. She also sits on the Board of Aids Response, an NGO focussing on lobbying and advocacy as well as introducing conversations within communities around HIV /Aids and sustainable living.
