Masiiwa Rusare has over eight years experience working as researcher and consultant on economic and development issues covering international and regional trade policy; Economic Partnership Agreements; the nexus between aid, trade and development; community capacity building and empowerment to participate in development; growth economics, among others.
He also has wide experience in advising and working with policy makers on the above issues. He possesses the following qualifications:

- Msc Economics—University of Zimbabwe
- Bsc Economics—University of Zimbabwe
