The leadership of Black Management Forum (BMF) Western Cape set itself key deliverables for 2011, one of these was the launch of the Great Debate Breakfast series. The Breakfast will take the form of a debate between two speakers with different views on a current issue and also allow for the audience to engage with the speakers in a secure, closed environment.

Fieldwork: Mthente conducts a detailed assessment of HEA Clothing for SASOL-ChemCity (Secunda, from 2011-05-12 00:00 to 2011-05-13 00:00) — by Jennie

Mthente has been commissioned by SASOL Chem-City to review the operations of HEA Clothing (Pty) Ltd and assist the SMME in achieving its growth objectives as outlined in its growth plan. HEA Clothing is a supplier of protective clothing and work wear to Sasol; and is situated in Evander, near Secunda, in Mpumalanga.

Mthente recently conducted an impact assessment for the Financial Fiscal Commission (FFC) to assess current levels of understanding, perceptions and attitudes about the existence, mandate, roles and recommendations of the FFC.

Mthente has been commissioned by the Gauteng Department of Economic Development to develop the Gauteng Trade and Investment Policy Framework, Strategy and Implementation Plan.

Training: Mthente conducts fieldworker training for the Medical Research Council (Observatory Community Hall, from 2011-05-09 09:00 to 2011-05-13 16:30) — by Jennie

Mthente has been commissioned by the Medical Research Council to carry out a survey. Drawing on its pool of experienced and mature fieldworkers, Mthente is currently conducting training prior to the launch of the survey.

Caroline Page, a student at Northeastern in the United States, will be working with Mthente from 1 August to 31 October. Kate Hach, a student at the University of Amsterdam, will be working with Mthente from August to September.
