Mthente has been commissioned by the Department of Trade and Industry (dti) to reconceptualise and update the “South Africa in Africa: Trade Investment and Infrastructure” Handbook, which was last published in 2007.

The revamped Handbook will be accessible to a wide range of stakeholders and provide substantial and up-to-date information that South African policy makers and exporters can use to inform their trade strategies and initiatives, and raise the awareness of the wealth of opportunities available on the African continent to South African businesses.

Mthente will use a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies – including comprehensive desktop research for in-depth country profiles, exploratory focus groups and key stakeholder interviews – to inform the content of the Handbook.
