Mthente evaluated Inyathelo and its work from its inception in October 2002 until the financial year ending in February 2007.

Mthente undertook the study to provide Inyathelo with an assessment of its performance, and to draw attention to areas where the organisation could improve, so as to maximize its impact and effectiveness.  The evaluation focused on organisational growth issues; organisational culture; programme review findings; donor relationships and financial management issues.  It was informed by a comprehensive review of documentation provided by the organization, as well as by extensive feedback received from Inyathelo’s main stakeholders, donors, programme participants and staff.
