Mthente undertook a feasibility study on the role of South African businesses in Zimbabwe to find out if connections between South Africa’s foreign policy and economic/political realities and interests drive South Africa’s foreign policy towards Zimbabwe.

 The study assessed both the positive and negative effects of the relationship. 

The research study involved field work in Zimbabwe and stakeholder interviews with government officials and business representatives in both South Africa and Zimbabwe
